Start folding

Steps at a glance

  1. 1. Crease both sheets in half both ways

Both sheets white side up: fold in half both ways and unfold.

  2. 2. Fold the sides to the center

On both sheets, fold the left and right edges to the center line.

  3. 3. Fold in half lengthwise

Fold each one in half, right over left, into a long strip.

  4. 4. Fold the ends at an angle (mirror images)

Left strip: fold the top end down to the left and the bottom end up to the right. Right strip: the mirror image.

  5. 5. Fold the points across

Fold each pointed end across to make a Z-shaped unit. The two units are mirror images.

  6. 6. Lay one unit across the other

Turn the left unit over and lay it diagonally, then place the other unit across it so the centers match.

  7. 7. Tuck in the front points

Fold each sticking-out point of the lower unit in half and tuck it into the pocket of the upper unit. Do both.

  8. 8. Turn over

    Turn the star over.

  9. 9. Tuck in the other two points

Fold the last two points in half and tuck them into the other unit’s pockets. Your ninja star is done!
